Terms of use
The Power Map is an independent reference on the Swedish state, free to read and to cite. Here is what you can and cannot rely on.
Who is behind the site
The Power Map is run privately by Adrian Martén and is not connected to any public authority, party or interest group. Nothing on the site is commissioned or funded by a political actor.
How the site may be used
You may read, share and cite the pages freely, preferably with a link. The information shown comes from public sources and belongs to its respective publishers. Automated bulk scraping that puts unnecessary load on the site is not permitted; take the data from the source instead, which is always named.
Accuracy and timeliness
Every entry is shown with its source and the date it was checked, and much of it is re-read automatically. Even so, entries can fall out of date, a source can change and an automatic reading can fail. The site is therefore provided without warranties. For any decision that matters, always go to the official source.
Known gaps, failed readings and entries awaiting review are listed openly on Data quality.
No accounts and no services
The site requires no registration, sells nothing and takes no payments. The party quiz is a tool for comparing your answers with parliament's own divisions; the result describes vote counts, not a recommendation on how to vote.
Plugin for factual lookup
Maktkartan's plugin provides read access to published guides and public information. It cannot change data, retrieve private quiz answers or take action on your behalf. Cite the source and date when sharing information. A saved reading or an article edit does not mean the facts have been checked just now; always check the period and limitations in the result.
Corrections and contact
If you find an error, get in touch with a source and it will be corrected. The same applies if you are named and believe an entry is wrong. adrian@adrianmarten.net
