The sources behind the figures

Every figure on the key issues page is parliament's own hit count for a search. Here is exactly which search is made for each issue, so that anyone can repeat it.

How the figures are fetched

  • Source: parliament's open data, the document list data.riksdagen.se/dokumentlista
  • Document types: motions, interpellations and written questions (mot, ip, fr).
  • Selection: the party's own members, the issue's search term, and the register's own hit counter.
  • Maktkartan re-reads the register regularly and stores the figures, so the page fills immediately. The time of the reading is always shown under the table. If there is no stored reading the register is fetched on the spot, and if it does not answer no figures are shown rather than zeros.

What is not measured

The figure says how many items the party's members have filed containing the search term. It says nothing about the content, whether the proposals are good, whether they match your own view, or whether the party got anything through. An item can also cover several issues at once, and a search term can miss items using other words. That is why the term is stated openly here.
